EGR, again

Post by smac02 » Thu Mar 27, 2008 10:00 pm

Hi all,
I've read all the previous posts on the EGR and spotted on ewith the same problem as myself. As far as I'm aware the EGR is working, but the little one way valve from the air filter intake pipe to the EGR solenoid is broken. There was some discussion on what the little pipe did it did but wasn't a conclusive answer.

So a number of questions. Where can I get a new one way valve. What does it do and how can I tell if my EGR valve is working?

I don't know what it does but it can be repaired with a piece of pipe glued into the broken section - I used a biro refill.

Blanked the EGR off since though.

i also recently found the same pipe broken on mine-no noticable problem with the way the bongo was running, did a similar repair to the others and still made no difference to the way it runs.
egr valve and pipes not clogged at the moment so intend to leave it alone. 8)
the voices made me do it!
