How to fix a Grab Rail

Post by Ian+R » Fri Mar 28, 2008 7:52 am

I've managed to get hold of a Grab Rail for the side door. Can someone out there in the world of Bongos give me some clues on how to fix it into my Bongo. I know I will have to remove the rubber strip around the door but it seems to be stuck on and I dont wont to pull it off and snap it. Thanks guys/girls.

Can't help you with how to fix this I'm afraid. We had one on our old bongo and it was very useful so we wanted one on the new bongo. Imperial fixed it for us. I'm sure someone will come up with the answer.

hi Ian+R
cant you fit it to the side behind the front seat so as you can grab it as getting in bongo

all that should mean is taking off the trim where the seatbelt is situated and then finding holes for it .

Good stuff Ian!, It does look a bit of a pain job dont it. Been out tinkering with mine today. Fitted the new horns i got, much better than the old!.

Had to take out the grill, all the lights, and dismantle the parking pole AGAIN!!.

Nice weather for it at least :D .
