getting into the engine
Hi,
Im struggling to get into the engine, I have unclipped the two clips on the seat but cannot work out how to move the chair to get into the engine bay .
Can anyone shed any light to help with this task that should be really easy - yes i feel really stupid please help!

Two accessible from the front edge of the seat and one that's only accessible once you've removed the centre console. Remove the ash tray and look under the mat at the back of the centre console (or inside the cubby box if you're posh) and you'll find two plastic wing-nuts.
Have fun!

Most of us have had that problem first time around...and my garage still struggles after 2.5 years.
First remove the centre console...you will find two round 'butterfly' type thingies...one under the ashtray and one in the middle of the large square recess. Undo these and lift off the centre console.
Next undo three clips per side...two on the front of each seat and one that links the seat to the centre section which you'e just uncovered.
Now tilt the back of the seat forward then lift the front of the seat base...the whole thing should then tilt back.
If you have problems tilting the seat back, check the footrests arn't in the way.
good luck

I found that one to Harry but where is the real one?Harry wrote:Immediately after the first time I bought a van with this configuration I pulled into a garage to fuel up and check the oil.
Bonnet up...no engine...so I rang the dealer and he said not to worry...there was a spare engine between the front seats![]()
