I connected a portable cd player into the spare Ac(ciggie lighter adapter) in the rear of the bongo, at the same time i had the rear heating system running and my MP3 plugged into the cd player i also have a clock/temp guage running of ciggie lighter in the front. I was driving down motorway when i noticed that the hold light had suddenly come on, could not get it off when pressing the button on the side (yes i had reduced my speed i even stopped on hard shoulder). Not only that the speedo stopped working and the heating in the rear of the vehicle also stooped. I did think the rear washer had also packed in but that turned out to be NO WATER oops!!!!
Any suggestions???
unplugged MP3 and after turning engine back on everthing worked again, weird!!!!
Jake
help i think

WAs it Karena? I think they had a similar incident when something was plugged into the rear ciggy socketdreamwarrioruk wrote:this has been mentioned in the past but i cant remember what it was, maybe someone else can remember

I know there has been reservations to the capability of the handling charachteristics of the wiring to the rear ciggy in the past, but how much power can a cd player sap? Not much i'd have thought...

Spoke to Mike at Wheel quick he said it was not wise to run so many gadgets off the existing wiring and it was prob overloaded. Seems to have been fine as long as the children do not watch a DVD and i use ipod at same time. Wheel quick to fit sep AC socket on centre Console next time i pay them a visit only cost £30. Thanks BigDaddy i hav't forgot wheel!!
