coolant hose
Hi all do i have to take belly pan underneath my bongo off to change coolant hose to engine under drivers seat?
It's not a big job to drop it off, when i changed mine i found it easier with it off just to get a look underneath, mine split about an inch from the end of the pipe was a pin hole that i could not see till it got hot and it was underneath, rather than get new pipe cut the end off and put it back on saved me £20+ for new pipe

Hi colait... if the hose looks suspect in anyway DON'T refit it, it could cost you a Cyl head ! I would not recomend cutting out a pin hole / split as mentioned, even if its near the end, as its well past its sell by date .... make a job of it, new hose and 20mins and the jobs done right and for good !then you can forget it ...good luck Big Rich
thanks everyone ive bought a new hose and will fit it the weekend its the one on the drivers side and its not worth cutting this hose to anyone thinking of doing this because this is what happened obviously before i bought my bongo the AA man told me this caused extra pressure on the hose causing it to split luckily i saw the problem before a cracked head. so a lesson to anyone it may not be cheaper in the long run to take short cuts[/b]
Good stuff colait, you wont regret getting new this and new that, remember they are getting on a bit now, and you are going to splash out a bit.
It's never been touched since the day it was fitted at new, its not never worth trying to save yourself a few quid. Fit it and forget it.
Mine is a bit of a money pit at the mo, just discovered today my rear anti roll bushes and brackets need doing!. An extra to the neverending list
