sorted out a ghosthunt for those interested.
its a combination about the history of york and is intersting but humorous at times. its not going to be scary stuff or a serious investigation although i could organise one of those all night jobs if people want but it wouldnt coinside with the bash.
a group booking of up to 20 people would be a minimum £100 but that with a private guide.
i can get a group booking where the cost will be £4 per adult and £3 per child
but that will be with the general public so could be loads of people.
the walks are on every night and start at 7.30pm and last about 75 minutes.
or there are other ones available.

or im sure i know the owner of this one.

none of them are going to be scary but the first two are more suited to children. trevors walk is mainly just story telling without the humour.
ive emailed some companies to see if there are any proper hunts going on.
during the day there are plenty of guided tours of the city
http://www.guidefriday.com/ and search for york.
or if anyone wants we can have a stroll all the way round the bar walls.
give me a clue on what people want to do.
so far for the ghost hunt

We'll be there, we even have our own outfits that seamstress Mrs Munkey knocks up.

just had some details back for a private ghost tour around york.
Dear Mr. Blacker,
Thank you for your enquiry about the Ghost Detective Tour of York. We
do have a slot available for a private booking at 6pm on Friday the 6th
of June 2008.
Private tours cost either £4 per person, or £50 total (whichever is the
greater). If you wish to bring your group on our regular 7:30pm tour,
however, it will cost £4 for adults and £2 for children, seniors and
students.
The tour starts outside the Jorvik Viking Centre and lasts about an
hour and a quarter (but of course it will seem like an eternity...).
Please let me know as soon as possible if you wish to go ahead with the
booking.
Catch you later...

Given the ability of a few members here in the dressing up department. . .
Peg Leg Pete could dress up as a ghost & we could do our own tour perhaps?
Or some others, who shall for now remain nameless, could organise a Hairy Blokes In Drag Hunt. . .?
