Wish I'd had one two and a half years ago.

Not my head, but one of those alarms.

Are you saying all your starting/running problems are the result of a cracked head? :? :? :?

Terrible news.

What I'm saying is, that a top hose went about 2 years ago and I wasn't watching the guage at the time, consequently the head gasket blew, I had it repaired, by a local Garage, and it seemed they were cowboys, because it didn't last more than 3 months. They said that they had the head skimmed. When I decided to replace the head gasket, there was a bolt missing, a broken manifold stud, which was making a screaming sound when I first got it back, didn't know where it came from until I got the head off, also discovered the head was cracked.
The Garage said they weren't responsible. If I'd had an alarm, I would have know that the coolant had gone. Cheers Tom

Sorry to hear your woes Tom, know how you feel mate

Sounds to me like the garage never pressure tested your head, are there any Bongo friendly garages in your area?.

Dont you just hate cowboy mechanics!!, when i had mine pressure tested, the guy said most of the Bongo heads he has tested is cracked most of the time.

Keep us posted.
