Clonking noise underneath

Post by Bigblackbeastiebobbongo » Fri Mar 14, 2008 5:46 pm

I see someone has posted something previously about a clonking noise coming from underneath, I'm wondering if I have the same problem. Just bought the Bongo last week wth 12 months MOT from a mate. There is a definate clonking noise coming from the front when going over bumps. Is the most likely cause Anti roll bars gone? Is it expensive to get these fitted?
Thanks for your help,

Esme

Could be your front drop links. Not expensive, and a DIY job for most. Hardest part of the job could be loosening any seized nuts.

This thread you mean? Loads of info on the forum about droplinks & anti rollbar bushes & brackets. Not a hugely difficult job, for less than £100 you should be able to replace the lot in an hour or two if the nuts come off ok
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.
