I got a clock from trago that looks very much like this one, but with no temp capabilities.
Looked in Halfrauds one day and saw one like mine but with the temperature thingy for £14.00

But i have one that does inside and out, in the sunvisor and have run the wire to the front windscreen.

Is this the right place to put it? at times i dont believe that it is accurate, cos of the heater blowing on the winscreen.

mine arrived today - just one question where do I put the temp. sensor as the instructions don't give much of a clue?

I believe the optimal place for an external sensor is low down, possibly just behind the bumper. The idea is that it senses the temperature close to the road to warn you of ice.

My ovlov had it placed in the wheel arch...It measured icey conditions as well.

Just remember not to put it in any airflow as this will give a low reading (wind chill factor) - mine was in the driver's door surround, outside the seal.

Hi,
Just wondering how you all got on with the clocks? Can they be wired so that the backlight comes on with the Bongos lights at night to save trying to find the button in the dark?

Mike,
I have one of these about to be fitted.
Having tried it just in the lighter socket, it appears that the lights come on with the accessories, ie, when it's powered from the vehicle rather than the internal batteries, therefore no button to press.
I have rewired it to give a direct feed from wiring rather than from the lighter socket and re-exited the wiring from the rear, rather than the socket on the side. I'm going to position it below the radio and find a power feed in there somewhere and then try and find the best route for the external temperature sensor. (When it stops raining)
That's if I haven't dropped a blob of solder inside and kyboshed the whole thing
