Auto Gearbox

Afternoon all.

My automatic gears don't seem to be locking in place - P seems to lock but the others move around without needing to press button, making it difficult sometimes go to from N to 3 as there is no 'click' so I try pulling away but am still in n.

Does this make sense??

I am sure they were not like this before I had my timing belt changed. Could something have been moved during this change?

Afternoon Aughton.... The auto lever will have been undone to gain access to the engine bay, so something may well have been disturbed...I'd return it to the garage that changed the cambelt, and get them to sort it...

I agree with BDC. Sounds like something has been left untightened on the lever linkage, and the garage that did the cambelt should put it right.
