 I got a Transit minibus over that bridge once.... wheel nuts scraping both sides   :D

I'm going to be in the Dales that weekend doing some stuff with the Duke of Edinburgh's Award - if, and it's a big IF, I'm anywhere near I'll call in for a visit. Won't be able to stay over - but I'll do my best :D

It may be a bit difficult to make it for the whole weekend so don't book me in yet.

I will however try my very best to pop over at some point during the weekend....I'll make sure I've got some Ingleton/Bentham deliveries lined up.

The trick is not to expect to get to the Stainforth campsite from Stainforth

From Settle (travelling north) ignore the turn off signposted Stainforth and go a few hundred yards further, turning right onto Stackhouse Lane - the campsite is about two miles along this road.

If you do fancy approaching from Stainforth the road is quite narrow, but passable, however the bridge is VERY narrow - again, passable, but it just doesn't look it
