Bongo disposal dilemma?
Having just had the van returned from a friend who was unfortunately unable to repair the engine following a major overheating problem, i am left with the problem of getting rid of the van, do I;
A. Try and break the van for spares.
B. attempt to source and fit an engine (unlikely as i have little experiance or facilities)
C. Try and sell the van minus a running engine to someone willing to undertake the van as a project, or sell the vehicle to a private breaker(does anyone no anybody)

Ideally i'm wanting to get rid of the van with minimum fuss, i decided some weeks ago that a proper van would suit my needs rather than the bongo, but the motor cooked before i had chance to sell it, now im stuck with two vans, i'm not really sure what the going rate is for selling the van to a breakers?

Certainly worth trying it in the 'For Sale' section. Depending on the condition of the rest of the vehicle, if the price is attractive it might really interest someone.Peg leg Pete wrote:perhaps someone on site may make you an offer

bongo disposal
BONGOBIKER there is a engine on ebay for sale with 6 months garantee for i think £800 ish
if you join rac and tell them you broke down they will take you to a destination so if you arrange with the breaker you could get bongo taken there?

Having just washed and hoovered the old girl, i'm surprised at how clean and tidy she still looks, its really pulling on the heart strings to send her to the breakers.
Its a shame i just don't have time, expertise or inclination to fix it myself
I'l probably try the for sale section or put it on ebay warts and all and just see what it gets before i send it to bongo heaven.
