indicator wires colour

Post by Blutac » Thu Feb 28, 2008 12:14 pm

Hi

i'm going to put remote central locking in at the weekend. i've got the unit all wired up and tested using an old computer power supply so i know it all works and the actuator moves. i've looked at the factsheet for finding the live and earth connections and how to mount the actuator. i have to wires that should go to the indicators to flash them to confirm locking/unlocking.

any ideas what colour wires i should be attaching them to and where is the best place to do the connection ?

thanks Dave

In a plug behind the kick panel in the drivers footwell, can't remember exact colours but they are green with a tracer (white, black or red tracer is ringing a bell but could be wrong) To test don't just switch the hazards on, test the indicators left then right individually as one wire is a common which will not work for what you want but will show a voltage with whichever indicator is flashing
