Excuse the numpty question all!
Am off to Costco at lunch and want to see if I can get a repacement engine battery for my 2.5 litre diesel.
The only thing I know at present is that it needs to be 7 x 12 x 8 inches.
Anyone advise me what else I should check?
thanks in advance
Andy

Thanks all, pretty sure I know the polarity. I only have one battery on the left and the rear left hand terminal has a cover on it so probably the positve. The rear right hand terminal has a small minus.
Will let you all know how I get on, plus the price of pura etc etc for the record.
Keefysher - hope to see you and will say hi if I do. i'll be one of two sad speccy lunchtime office types with a trolley!

Welcome CarlosFandango - I like your callsign v.funny.
Battery advice as above although I think 90-95Ah is quite sufficient if you can't get 100Ah. the main thing is not to be flogged a standard 70Ah just 'cos its cheap (although interestingly my Bongo came with one so it must be possible I suppose)

Thanks guys. These best they had was 85 ah with 830 cold cranking AMPs. I do want to make sure that it is well up for the job.
The next one up was about 14" long so a bit big.
Any thoughts on where else is good for vehicle batteries? Dont mind cost if know its quality.
Oh and while we are on this subject why is it that factory supplied batteries seem to last for years and replacements less so!!?
