When 2 hoses became 3

Post by Blutac » Mon Feb 25, 2008 12:03 am

Hi

I met up with Dreamwarrior today, he agreed to come round and help me install 2 hoses and give me a bongo burping masterclass. We finally got the 2 hoses replaced, then inspected the bleed pipe and found huge cuts in it. A quick trip to local motorsave and we got a new bleed pipe (£3.59 bargain).

Due to the position of some of the springy clamps it took a little longer to get the main top hose off, it wouldn't have been possible without a jack and removing the front portion of the plastic engine cover underneath.

Many thanks Mike(Dreamwarrior) for all your time and knowledge and tools, it was a pleasure working with you. the only way i can pay you back is to give you a hand when you do yours :D

thanks to Flippa for the hose, great kit. :D

and thanks to everybody else for all the tips and words of wisdom i have read on the site since i joined.

happy bongoing
cheers Dave

You're becoming a saesoned Bongo owner already Blutac - and working with the legendary Dreamwarrior, well what can I say (lots but I won't)

Glad you are getting the coolant system before it gets you. You've got the right priorities 8)

Glad everythings ok for you dave, thanks for the kind hospitality, keeping me going with coffee and the sausage sandwiches.
it was an epic journey changing the coolant pipes but we soldiered on in the rain.
you paid me in full with the new wonder wiperblades and letting me try out the bump and grind harness. will try it fully when i get some time free.
btw ive got a set of molegrips in my toolbox by mistake, will look after them till we meet up again.
emma got better after she got home and she wasnt sick anymore so we went out after that and went to do help another bongo owner that night.
cheers
