It works.
Ok its early days and testing is needed. Got it working at 3pm took it down to Wheelquick to show Mike approx 4miles. I have a digital temp gauge on the heat exchanger and it was reading 60c when I got there.
Spent about 1/2 hr there even had one of Mikes potential customers intrested in it. When I got home the temp was over 70c so it is looking very promising.
The pipework at the valves was altered slightly.
The tee was removed at valve 3 and 4, the pipe from 3 goes as before to the heat exchanger. The pipe from 4 links into the hot pipe from the heat exchanger close to the injector pump. This makes for quick purging when switching back to diesel as there is only the pump to purge.
Here is a diagram of the setup.
On startup valves 2 and 4 are energised (on on switch) 4 is piped to the outlet of the fuel filter this feeds into a tee close to the IP. As can be seen the return from the IP feeds into a tee between valve 1 and 2. As valve 1 isnt open the diesel feeds into the origional return line.
When switched to veg 2 and 4 close and 1 and 3 are energised, veg is now fed via the heat exchanger to the IP. As 2 is closed veg cannot return to the diesel tank and loops back into the flow to the heat exchanger raising the temp.
Now where is the wine.
Thanks Mike, when I get it to run on water with an addative, that will be Trailblazing.
