Front fogs

Post by shez » Sat Feb 23, 2008 7:23 am

Sorry if i'm lazy: I haven't read through all the lists on the compatible data base. I'm looking to buy front fogs: not on e-bay as they're so dear. I have the metal, seemingly removable fill ins on my Freda.
I have seem mention of "ring" spotlights: is this a make.? Where might I buy them? And are they easy to fit?
Is there anything else I need to buy in addition or do they come with all the wiring? Is this called the loom? And do I buy an extra switch?
Questions, questions, questions i know: but now I've started posting it might be like that for a while!
:?

yuo cant get any that fit like the genuine lamps, but i have seen a few bongos with round spots at the botom, dont know any prices but, the genuine bongo ones go for anything from £80 to £140 notes

just got down to your local motor factor and have a look at what they have, range wise and measure up see if you cant find owt

as for the wiring loom, some bongos have them and some dont, if you get your head under neath and look where the blanks are, there may be the loom already there, just hanging down with a block thats got nothing pluged into it.

if you have the loom then it will have a plug behind the dash where one of the blanking switches are, if you dont have the loom behind the bumper then you will have to wire it all up

Have a look in Halfords and other motor factors, the square Ring set are not a perfect fit but well enough and are around £15.00 complete, well worth a look, there was even a pair on evil bay going for £90.00, bloody daft. Happy motoring.
