Front Diff for my beloved Freeda

Hi all
I am in need of a used fornt diff for a ford freeda on a "N" plate she is of the 4WD variety does anyone have one or know where I can get one.

You could try http://www.bellhillgarage.com/ - they break Bongos.

I'm going to Churcham garage Sat morn if the Bongo they are breaking is a 4x4 I will let you know if it still has the diff

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to disconnect the front diff and make it 2WD??????

There is a posting somewhere if you do a search.
I think the guy that has made his Bongo 2wd was Chris from Namibia.
you could try n find a 4wd/landrover garage specialist.
Also Bellhill may have front diffs.
hope you get it sorted, must be a worry.
I am sure some more experienced Bongonuts on this forum could offer some advise.

It looks to me as if you can remove the front part of the front prop shaft - the bit that goes from the front diff to the prop shaft support half way down the vehicle - without leaving any worrying holes in the drive system.

You can disconnect the front diff - but only if the problem lies between the diff and the V.C., otherwise the faulty diff will keep turning with the front wheels :?
