I need to invstigate a "sparking" sound coming from my dash. I was hoping it was some loose trim, bit I suspect a loose wire. I haven't had a good look yet (at work) but noticed this AM that rear fogs weren't working, nor were rear lights but rear brake lights were. Head lights all ok. All other electrics seem fine. I'm hoping its to do with the (aftermarket, uk fitted) rear fog switch.
Am I right that the switch will have three connections....one to earth, one to live and one to the light switch so as fogs only come on when lights are on?
Is it easy enough to take the dash apart for easy access to the switches and wires?
Any guess from these symptons as to where my loose connection might be?
Any other thoughts / observations would bemost welcome.

Sounds about right Dave. Could be something touching the connections on the back of the switch or maybe the earth connection isn't so good. I'm assuming the switch is located to the right of the steering wheel in which case access can be best made by removing the push fit plastic panel at the very end of the dash (with the driver's door open of course). Lever out an edge of the panel (but be careful not to mark the plastic) then grab and pull it away. You should then be able to see the switch easily. You may also want to remove the fuse box cover (lower down)undo the two cross head screws securing the cabin fuse panel and pull it away - just to check in case and after-market bad connections have been made in there.
