Big Rich.... if you unzip the flyscreen and roof tent sides and rest a ladder on the bonnet, you can climb up thrugh a much bigger aperture

what is the most weight someone has had in the weight - breakdowns of how or who are not neccesary.

Can anyone remember the volvo add with the older models stacked on the roof of the 244DL ??? I wonder if volvo make a bongo style of van ? I am still toying with the idea getting a Hummer ! that will hold me and my pies

To answer the question. I also weigh 12.5 stone and the wife is 11 and a bit. No problem at all with the roof bed. 3" memory foam mattress.
Top Tip....take the hinge pins out of the hatch......

I've had me (heavy) and 3 kids playing in the roof. Hubby wont risk it though.
