What about these lights to replace Cibies. Any Good?

Can anyone help. I am looking to change my Cibies for some better Driving lights. I will eventually find some fogs to fit in the bottom bit, but I wondered if anyone lectric minded and legal wise could have a look at this listing.

Oh they look rather good C&A. Have you got a wiring loom in place already (guess you have). I wonder how the 2-stage angel eye wiring could be integrated with the existing wiring loom? RoosterUK's the man to advise on that.

I bought some 100W chrome spots (yeah I know, illegal) off ebay for around £30. They work well, but like to have rust sweating removed with Solvol Autosol every few weeks, although the chrome seems good enough. I guess its all Chinese cheap metal

Chell&Ady these are the exact ones i have brought to replace mine but i went for the 24v ones and just a matter of changing the bulbs to 12v as the angel eyes still work on 12v (as tested by bdc and others at dbo's one night

i figured that if i went for the 24v ones they shouldnt rust so easy as they are made for lorries but when i get a chance to have them fitted i will let you know

Thanks for that Boys.. My Cibies are wired as Fogs and as I read somewhere I see that they are illegal height, whoops. I just didn't want to waste my pennies on something I couldn't legally use. No seriously appreciate that boys.

I'd be interested to see what they look like fitted. Roll on next pay day. Hair cut can wait. Let it grow.... lol

I've got a similar set on our Bongo. Pretty easy to wire up: three connections: earth, +ve for main bulb & +ve for led ring lights. The main bulb is fed by a relay connected to the main beam wire at the back of the headlamp. The leds are fed from the rear of the side lights via a 1Amp fuse.

Haven't got any pictures to hand showing them in action.
