Bongo internal flourescent light

Post by panman » Tue Feb 12, 2008 9:50 pm

Hi everyone.. I have a very dim internal flourescent light. About two months ago it started going dim and I bought a new tube which seemed to cure the problem. I cannot believe that the tube has gone in such a short time..does anyone know how the flourescent light unit works? are there any starters or electric gizmos in the housing? Your help would be very much appreciated.

Welcome to the madhouse.
They normally last a lot longer than that. Try cleaning the contacts as that sometimes causes problems.

If you have the Mazda fitted kitchen the battery
in it powers the light, if it's not charging, dry or
some such the voltage will be low and the light
dim.

we had a similar fault and i found that cleaning the connectors at the sliding door switch and checking it was earthing properly cured our problem. 8)
