Hi, new to this just joined club. Need some help on engine identification. Have the petrol version but cann't get a manual for it as the desiels are the most popular. Been told that the engine installed is one installed in quite a range of Mazda vehicles. Been thinking if I can identify the type and a vehicle with same engine I could pick up a manual for that vehicle and use the engine details to help me service my Bongo. Or do any of you out there actually know where I can track down the actual manual that covers this V6 2.5 variant. By made this choice as wanted to and have LPG conversion done, great running cost gives equivalent to a 40 mpg vehicle.
Cheers
Windy.

Welcome to the madhouse
The V6 used in the Bongo is, I believe, only used in the rather rare 929 - it is not the same 2.5litre engine that's used in most other Mazdas/Fords.

Hi windy i myself was under the impression that the v6 came from the parts bucket, but a recent thread suggests that Franco is correct, it only appeared in the rare 929

for the life of me i cant remember which thread it came up in but it was recent
Welcome to being a minority owner of the purringgggggggggggggg v6, best say that now cos they do seem to be coming up more often

don't want em to become to common

It's not what you can see that kills you - it's what you can't see.
