Surely the diff would have evidence of contact with the ground/rock or whatever if it had clouted against anything? :?

Hi there yes there was evidence to suggest that Freeda had been hit from underneath my argument is that I never hit it therefore it was done prior to me making the purchase which of course they are denying and want to charge me in excess of £1000 for something I have not done. ??????????

Incidently thats what the £150 bill was for to repair that damage the original bill was £300 but the dealer met me half way.

Hi chris2211,
sorry to hear of your problems , if your looking for someone to fix it locally I can highly recommend Dave Orchard at Bowling Green Garage Bugle .
He has done all the work on my bongo including fitting of new engine and knows his stuff. If your looking for any replacement parts try Bellhill at Bath as advertised on the home page they offer a first class service.
Would be interesting to know what dealer you bought from ,I think i can guess .If you want any further info feel free to PM me . Good luck.
Simon

Chris

Personally i would go to a Mazda dealer which of course is Vospers around here and ask them for an independent report or ask if they could recommend a reputable independent engineer to write one up on your behalf.

I don't think a small garage would have the credence or legal clout needed for this kind of case.

Very difficult when buying from some dealers . When you see the car of your dreams you get starry eyed, all jugement goes out of the window and your hand goes to the pocket and there you go, you have a new car.

It is not always possable to check everything as judgement, etc gets in the way, always get independent advice, expert if possable.

A warranty is given, you get home with your pride and joy to find that any problem you have is not covered by the warranty, only large major stuff is, starter, gearbox engine, etc.

All this advice I have never followed, I musy have starry eyes. :-({|=

Its Official ............The Diffs Knackered so I am now trying to negotiate with dealer about who is payin the bill at the moment we are un decided so I am possibly in the market for a second hand diff if you know of any I ultimatley believe that we will pay half each as a good compromise. Watch this space!!
