rear anti-rol bar

did a search for anti AND roll but i cant seem to find what im looking for.......probably cos i dont knwo what i need.
basically its mot time soon and on te previous mot it had an advisory on the "offside rear anti-roll bar linkage" saying it had "slight play in a pin/bush"
im assuming this wil;l be one of the things that need doin in preperation for the MOT so what im wondering is:

a) is there a guide on diy fixies?
b) will i need just the bushes or a new bracket, bar, bush etc?
c) will i need to do both sides or will just te one do the job?

Best to do both sides - Ford Galaxy ones fit and it's not a difficult job.

Rear ones are dead easy, Give them a squirt of wd40 /3 in1/easing oil or whatever you have to hand the day before, just in case they're too stiff, have a long extension bar & it should only take 10 minutes

will i need bracket, bar and bush or will i have to take it somewhere to check?
other option is if its easy enough to do then i have a go myself (well i say myself i actually meen get my dad up here)

I would say that ""offside rear anti-roll bar linkage" is the droplink - not the anti roll bar bush & bracket - piccy
Droplink is 2B170B, bracket & bush is 28-155, 34-156A. But if the droplink needs replacing, then it may be time to do the anti-roll bar bush aswell while you're at it? At least you know it's done then. It really is dead easy, simple spanner job, doesn't even need jacking up, just stick it up on some ramps

I agree with Kirsty. They seem to knacker around the same time so a good rear end service ( ) (new rear droplinks and anti-roll bar bushes) will do wonders for the ride comfort ( ). Not complicated or expensive provided your nuts aren't seized ( ). Make sure both sides of the back end are level (especially if raised off the ground) and not under unnatural compression when you tighten the nuts ( ) or the new bushes will split prematurely when rear end is lowered to ground and normal ride height re-established ( )

Antiroll bar bushes 34-156A are not the same front and rear as the Lushproject pages suggest. The fronts are much wider

I wrapped a strip of tyre inner tube around the antiroll bar and used the old bushes again with some rubber grease - works a treat .
I did the same over a year ago with the front ones and they're still quiet

I've heard you mention the inner tubed bush( ) before dandy...i'll remember that one...
