Noticed a fairly fast ticking sound when steering is on hard lock and moving, which slows and speed up with speed of bongo.
Is this the CV joints playing up?
I seem to remeber my old freelander having something similar, but mechanic said it was nothing serious.
Appreciate any thoughts.
Cheers

Yep, sounds like the cv joint (s) Jamie...I've just had mine replaced, all's well now...
The nearside cv joint on mine was well and truly buggered! There was loads of play in it upon inspection on removal.
Glad to get em fixed, one less thing to worry about

Well jamie, i reckon i could have done the job myself, but standing there scratching my head wouldn't have acheived much, so i nipped up to wheelquick to get the job done...jamiemacp wrote:Cheers Big dadyy! Next question is then how easy a job is it for the average DIY mechanic?
Not scared of having go, but dont want to get half way and find I need a special mazda tool or I have to start grinding bits off.
Is there a tip in members area?
Jamie

No specialist tools required as far as i'm aware, just a bit of brute force!
