Cconsidering the Chancellor (bless him, another Scot
) has his 20 odd quid I think it's a reasonal job from a professional - how much does it cost to get yer central heating system "serviced"?
The independent Motor Trade get a pretty raw deal a lot of the time - high time "professional mechanics" were licenced/accountable and paid better..................Rant over!

ME AGAIN
my electrickery guy fitted the alarm ,fixed my rear fogs, wired up my front fogs, fixed the horn (my fault) and my radio
.he said he still needs the actuator for the remote locking
,but its all wired up and ready. Now as for the criuse control thats another story,
he has done a few of these so no prob he said, three days later, still cannot get it working, phoned WAEKO the firm that makes it they told him to try another way,he did ,still not working.everything is trying to work but the vacuum, WAEKO said it could be a faulty unit, its under 12 months warranty so its going back.

OK, done it. What luxury. I used the Hawk setup, bought from ebay.
For info, I split the rods into 3 sections as the 2 way version fouled the big bolt in the door. I fixed the bottom join before I put the solenoid unit in the door in the same position as shown in the guidance, the second join then becomes accessable in the large hole in the door for adjustment purposes and the top join I could tighten through the top hole in the door while the central locking rod is in its upright position. All is apparent when you look, even if this doesn't make sense .
The wiring is simple, join to the 12v feed, as shown in the notes, twice. One to the red to the receiver and once for the red to the switch unit. Black to ground and ignore/trim the feeds to the 3 unused other door solenoids.
BEWARE OF THE BLACK STUFF!
HTH, Pete.

yes you have to drill two holes, use the actuator as the template place on the outside once drilled fix the actuator on the inside of the door recess, just had a thought not actually sure i drilled two holes now vagely remember using one handy hole but dont quote me on that oneLewy wrote:Do you need to drill holes to fit the actuator - I'm assuming you do or are there any handy existing holes to use?
