Wheel nuts

Post by Hooligan » Tue Jan 15, 2008 1:52 pm

I've just had a service frenzy and replaced all filters, drop links front and rear and anti-roll bar bushes. when I did the rear end I found 2 wheel nuts are partly stripped of their threads on the near side hub....
Fortunately the hub bolts are fine as they are not made of chocolate!!

Antbody know where i can get spares from?? Will a mazda dealer have em... or if not can i use another model in the mazda range?

Cheers in advance.

Wheel nuts from Mazda 626 or a Ford Probe will fit. I was lucky enough to get some steel wheel nuts for my spare from another member. I have alloys all round but the spare is a steel wheel. Different wheel nuts are required for these two types of wheels.

Chrome or steel wheels?

I tried a Ford outlet yesterday and then said i would have to go to one of there  commercial outlets.

If its chrome, give these guys a call http://www.sca-racerally.co.uk/ i say guys lightly as it was the young lass that served me and she certainly knew her stuff. Blokes were faffing around while she sorted mine.

Very reasonable priced at £1.18 per nut and if anyone needs a set of locking nuts there £20.99 Halfords range from  £30.99 to £34.99

Tigs you need to take the comma off the end of that URL link or it doesn't work.
