which hose

Post by karena » Mon Jan 14, 2008 3:19 pm

we have a leaky hose which i think i have identified from a picture runs from above the starter motor to the rear heater pipe
(will be taking picture home tonight to verify) If it is, does anyone know whether this one is available as a coloured silicon one, i like the idea of these, but very much doubt if i can afford a whole set even at flippas/club price but at least if we do it one at a time we,ll know which ones we,ve done.

Karena,
I had this one changed a short while ago, mine was in a bit of a state and I was lucky!!
It is possible to change it without draining all the coolant but ensure the system is bled properly afterwards.
Good luck,I got my new hose from Bongobits!!

PM Flippa for a price, I think you will be pleasantly suprised. Ay least you will only have to bleed the coolant once ad you can take the opportunity for a good flush out.

I got one of flippas hoses. Top banana.

At least if another one is on the way out, i know where to go.

By the way if you havent spent much money on your bongo, might be worth investing in his complete hoses package.

The antifreeze in Japan is pure concentrated evil, god knows what it is doing to our hoses.

to be honest not just the price of replacing them all but the time, and our ability to do it, the bongo is off the road while waiting for this hose as we feel it would be safest also no-where to get inside to do the job and no prospect of fine weather anytime soon.
I,ll send pm anyway i could keep the others in reserve until the weather improves and we get a pair of younger hands to help out.
