Air Conditioning Filter Dryers

Post by Bongoogleo » Thu Jan 10, 2008 5:32 pm

Annual AC check/service just done. My AC engineer again recommended renewing the filter/dryers. So where can we obtain them? Not available here from Mazda dealer. Leo.

Leo, if you can identify the part number on the Lushprojects site

http://www.lushprojects.com/bongopartsm ... tr.html#12

I might be able to track it down for you.

Most air con and refrigeration systems have dryers. They absorb moisture from the system which would otherwise cause damage to the mechanical parts of the system i.e. the compressor.

Part of servcing would be to remove and replace or alternatively dry them out and then replace them.

I have had a look at the drawings but can't determine which component houses the dryers. Will have a look at my Bongo tomorrow.
