Looks like a Mazda B220 pick-up (ie Ford Ranger) front end

Comes with auto-box 2.5 turbo diesel...
Well done trev - Just what I had in mind, although seeing one again is almost as offensive as a honda stepwagen  .
As far as I know, the 2.5td is the same as the bongo, but thats as helpful as I can be as mechanical stuff is not my forte.

yes thats my car but mine looks better lol got the bodykit on mine which improves it 100 % i know 95% of the car engine gear box and mirrows are the same as the bongo has when ordering parts i found out this . only thing what is differant is the appearance and thats it i suppose if i wanted to i could put a kitchen and bed and stove in mine 2 lol. thanks for all your advice i am just hoping that it is not a duff engine as i found out this week the company who i got the engine from has gone bust and my warrenty aint run out yet so i am buggared if it is the engine .

Yes, the engine on the 2.5 litre turbo diesel Mazda MPV pictured above has exactly the same engine as our beloved diesel bongo's.

Could the EGR be sticking causing the problem?

If you do a search nana, there are EGR blanking kits available for the bongo, try pm'ing "doone" or "nick skidmore" for more advice on the subject....

Good luck

You know youve started something now nanna - showing a mazda MPV with chrome mirrors and then casually letting it slip that they were the same as a bongo  .

As far as i'm aware, just the bongo shares parts with the MPV...I believe that the mazda 626 shares some bits with the bongo (dash i think),and the v6 petrol engine in the bongo is the same as Mazda's xedos...

I looked over an MPV at wheelquick a month or so back,(after noticing it shared the bongo's engine) I spotted a few bits & bobs that were either the same, or very similar...

I think the mirrors are ever so slightly different, the headlights are identical, and the indicators almost identical, some interior trim seemed to be shared, switchgear etc...

Thanks to bongo fury,a lot of enterprising members have solved quite a few of the little problems that can occur with the bongo, (on the whole the bongo is VERY reliable, but the odd problem can occur).

For example, the complicated coolant system can cause problems,so the most problematic hoses can now be replaced with a silicon hose replacement. Then there is the "Haydn" coolant loss alarm,And also the "mason"alarm...All these items offer a greater piece of mind with regards to the "fingers crossed" coolant sytem.

I can't see any reason why these items can't be used on your vehicle?

I'm not even sure where Yorkshire is!

However, if someone is a bongonaut shouldn't we help them, wherever they come from?

Mike(Mr Gadget) you can do no wrong in my eyes!
