MOT Advisory Notice

My Bongo just passed the MOT test but in the Advisory Notice there is an item that I don't know much about, so if anyone can help I can pass the instructions to my friendly mechanic...it read like this:

Offside front anti-roll bar linkage has slight play in a pin/brush.

I've also notice that when i brake hard I can feel and hear a kind of grinding noice coming from the front right tyre especially these days when its cold also the brake pedal move up and down when brake hard...front brake pads have been changed.

Isn't that a reference to the droplink? If so that's an easy one to fix and again covered many times on here.

I know that every single problem or almost has been previously discussed somewhere on the forum but the search engine its not exactly accurate is it? For a start what should I type in? Sorry but it would probably take me a week or two to figure out what's wrong with my beloved van

I recently had my bongo pass its MOT for the first time since I have owned it

, and was asking the garage about an advisory note that my girlfriend had on her car.

The mechanic said (and I am not playing down any note placed on these forms) that garages are advised to put any advice no matter how small on their advisory notes. He suggested that this does get people concerned over things that may not even need to be sorted for a few years. It is to cover the garage just in case something happens after the MOT.

I am not saying this doesn't need looking at just an interesting point from a garage I trust. Always worth getting things checked out but it can be worrying to those who arent mechanically minded, like myself!

Soonsky you've got a point in here and the proof of that is that the advisory note was given to me at the last year MOT test and never bother sorting it out soon afteward and forgot all together until recently when I had to change the brake pads. But it really need some attention now as I don't want it to get worse.
