I should have read the carwash thread before taking my bongo through one! As you can see from the picture, it isn't even very clean anyway.
Can this crack be glued or is it going to be a new mirror? The mirror isn't going anywhere as it is held by a spring inside but the crack is ugly.
If it can be fixed what type of glue would anyone recommend?

I dunno if araldite forced into the crack would do the trick?
The only real cure is a replacement mirror i'd have thought...Even black insulation tape wrapped around tightly may be ok till a replacement can be sourced?
I may be able to get hold of a replacement for around £20 depending on your location....

Thanks Bigdaddycain,
I'll try the araldite idea and let you know if I still need a replacement. £20 sounds more than reasonable although I am in Newquay?
Cheers
Picture problem now sorted. Thanks for the tip-off francophile1947

I can't check availability till tomorrow now mondo...i'll keep you posted.
Although, if the replacement falls through, i cant see why an araldite,AND an insulation tape (to seal the repair) fix shouldn't work....

got rid of my ugly mirror didn`t work through my tinted back window at night anyway.
replaced it with a camera mounted at the same height but central.
bit tricky threading wiring through but the end result is well worthwhile
great visibility day and night the van looks more attractive too.
One problem what to fit in place of the mirror?

What did ya do with your mirror petebee? There may be a buyer for it above
Could you have ot fitted the camera where the mirror used to reside, but angled the camera to the left a little to offset it not being central in the tailgate?

Was that an intentional spelling "mistake" kirsty?
