Anyone know where we can get replacement door locks for our Bongo, since some chavs thought it would be fun to destroy them all in their desperate need to steal our folding camping chairs (approx value 3 p )

Hi Stew,
Any garage or alarm specialist will be able to do this. Apart from ripping off the door panels, the work should be quite easy I think, no special tools required.
I am surprised how inexpensive those locks from Ian are, that would be the best option I think
Alternatively, you might consider getting a set off a scrapped Bongo, if the original key for that vehicle is available.
You would have to change the ignition key as well if you wanted a total swap, although you might consider an alarm with remote unlocking and keep your own ignition key to keep the workload down and increase security (that is, if you don't already have that).
I hardly ever use my keys in the door any more, so any old lock from a Bongo would do.
Try to not let the little scumbags doings, spoil your Christmas.

I'm so sorry to hear of your plight at this expensive time of year....I just can't understand crimes against the individual.
A thought occurs, albeit bolting the stable door after the horse has bolted, but maybe an exceptionally loud set of air horns or something equally ear- shattering rigged to your alarm will prevent it from happening again, and a super-bright LED alarm warning on the dash

hi stew, i have stripped out all my locks out of mine and its easy, all they are held in by is a u type clip that goes around the barrel on the inside of the door,then there is a plstic clip on the end of a metal rod that just clips on the end of the barrel hardest part is just taking off all the door cards.
