iezuras parts (ebay) are nothing short of crap. they said, " that radiator doesnt have a drain plug" and now after a few days...still no replacement. i spoke to an asian guy with very little comprehension of english (ALTHOUGH VERY APOLOGETIC) still no replacement part. i assume i will need to take rad out and take it to a parts place to get a short bolt with same thread to bung it off... bonus is..owner knows its a summer vehicle and isnt bothered too much.. it does do my head in though...............

Bottom hose only gets warm (not hot) at the best of times - maybe it's just the really cold weather at the moment. Have you taken it for a run to check for overheating?the-bongo-mongo wrote:ok still ongoing....rad fitted and bled up but bottom hose wouldnt heat up at all....going to remove the NEWLY fitted thermostat and try again....i am beginning to hate this bongo !

anyway, shouldnt be too long before he is bongoing on here, he knows the site and i think he will join...his brother also has one as far as i can tell !

Rad. cooling fan switch/relay
Just read your post and sounds like my problem, ie, I've just discovered my bottom hose is not warm after the engine has been running for +5 mins. The fan/s don't opperate and I'm now thinking I've another problem of the thermostat not opening or the water pump not pumping. Me thinks I'd better get another thermostat and top/bottom hoses and at the same time replace the cam belt, tensioner and water pump.
Can you tell me where the fan/s relay is or what causes this relay to opperate and where it is?
Also, havng replaced the rad., hoses, pump, thermostat and cam belt, what is the proceedure of bleeding the coolant system?
Cheers, Ian.
