Do you have to get a diesel 626 speedo to have a glowplug light or do petrol ones have the right window but no bulb or something?

just a case of swapping the 626 speedo for the bongo one 4 screws on the back of the housing and putting the complete bongo housing back in

Ahh so you only change the actual speedo, not the whole instrument panel?

I have now also changed mine for a 626. Adjusted it back to the mileage done on my bongo. Although I had to buy the whole instrument panel from the scrapyard, there are different indicator lights and an extra connector used when I removed it from the original car, so I changed the speedo only. It seems to be working ok, but I still haven't checked its accuracy with my satnav.

Whilst it was all out I also fitted a mason alarm.

Don't worry you can always repair it with a washing up liquid bottle and some sticky backed plastic.
