It has a mains transformer with a 5.3 volt output - so you won't be able to connect it direct to the leisure battery circuit :cry:

Tesco are selling a Philips unit that has a 12 volt power supply for about £30. I'm tempted.... :)

Asda sell a 'durabrand' make for under £20 and its 12v. Not tried it myself, but my local truckers CB shop that sells TV,s etc says that this is the one the truckers are all using in their cabs.

Alternative solution to consider, if you have a laptop that it, is a usb freeview adaptor. Borrowed one from a mate at work and it works a treat, gets more channels when plugged in to my house aerial than my normal box.

With all these things you need a good aerial and signal though.

Just a thought as these things are under £15 and if you have the laptop already ....

Excellent - good call, Madmile - I've just bought one and it does exactly what it says on the tin. Well chuffed 8)

£17.97 from Asda. Bargain - all I have to do now is make up a suitable DC lead. No problem given that I work in a very technical environment :D :D

I'm now on the look out for a decent (but, of course, cheap :twisted: ) aerial that'll work with a poor signal. I have it working here on a cheapy indoor aerial, but then I do have line-of-sight to the Emley Moor transmitter here at home 8)
