That made me laugh out loud :D :D :D :D

Mine was a lot quieter when Steve (BigDaddyCain) was along for a ride.

I've wondered about this too. My hearing has almost certainly deteriorated (hard to tell how much is marital and how much is medical) over the years. I've been puzzled why (as MissF says) people can get shot down for suggesting the turbo could be making a noise, and I do wonder if nfn's hypothesis might explain it. 'My car has a noisy turbo' could turn out to be BongoSpeak for 'My hearing isn't shot'. In which case, I'm bullet riddled :(

Years of preparing, testing and racing open piped 2 and 4 stroke bikes have had an effect on my hearing.
I went to the Outpatients for a hearing test some years back and the graph showed a distinct dip at a certain area.
"Fortunately" the doc said, "That happens to coincide with a womans voice pitch!
Curiously my divorce happened shortly after................. :?
