flick wipe

Post by aitch » Sat Dec 01, 2007 12:52 am

Just found that the wipers have a flick wipe option on my Bongo by pushing the left steering stalk towards the dash wipers go once, found this out by accident trying to get main beam with the wrong stalk, have owned the Bongo for over a year without knowing about this wiper option, so just passing it on for all who may not know about it

Ahhh, Mike...
I've got one of those as well...It' called a "Forgettory"....feel privileged....not everyone has one, and they're a darned site more efficient than a memory.
Now.....er..... what was I thinking about?
Cheers

It always annoyed me that my Renault Megane that I traded in for the Bongo, didn't seem have a flick wipe. I found the Bongo flick wipe, also by accident a short while after buying it, which then left me with the question, did the Megane have one all along?

How come the rear wash/wipe "swings both ways"? This has always puzzled me...i've not lost sleep over it, just curious if anybody knows why?

funny what little things you miss from previous cars.

Be nice to have an intermittent rear wipe. (might have to sort that with a timer  )

My old volvo used to put the rear wipers on if you went into reverse too.

cheers

The one I missed was controlling the rear heating from the front.
Try holding the REAR button until the display starts to flash.

It must be brora... My regular aircon front control is a simple on/off click switch.

By the way kirsty, i fiddled around with my stalk this morning whilst sat in a traffic queue... it does squirt whichever way i twist it after all... (surely you lot can't find anything "double entendre" about that last remark  )

BDC if you turn it clockwise it washes then wipes - anticlockwise it wipes then washes - or at least it does on mine - means that if the back window is really dirty you can spray the window before wipeing it and save on the wiper rubber - hope that this makes as much sense to you as it does to me !!!!!!
