Bongo Inspection In Cornwall

Post by quinnw » Wed Nov 28, 2007 10:10 pm

Sorry but keeping details as vague as possible. About July I bought a Bongo which back end of October failed with a coolant / overheating problem. The dealer has supposedly repaired the problem, but has consistently ignored my reasonable requests to detail exactly what work has been done. I am now in a position that I have a 6 hour round trip to pick a Bongo up that I do not know if the work has been done to a low standard or high standard or if I actually trust the dealers word - this has been communicated to the dealer.

Is there any good garages in the Cornwall / Bodmin area that I could get the Bongo examined prior to collection? Or is there any known, reputable mechanics who would be willing to inspect the Bongo before I collect it?

Thanks.

Take a torch, toilet roll, and tea bags.

The Mazda Bongo Company is a dealer (ship) and not really a grage / mechanic - may have mechanic (s) but... Their business to sell Bongos.

Allans does seem good, had already picked up on them as a possabillity.

Thanks again.

I just bought a beautiful Bongo 1996 V6 at Southampton auction and drove to Allans for MOT, Service and new timing belt. Could drive the 150 miles without plates as MOT booked. Picked it up this Monday and she goes like a dream. Allan is certainly a Bongo man. He is also very busy because he is so good. Email is the best way to contact him.
