Weird White/Blue Smoke

Post by Gozzy » Tue Nov 27, 2007 8:36 pm

Anyone help ???

Have got a problem with a white/blue smoke

Changed the centre and back box exhaust and have developed this prob since (prob coincidence)

When I start her up from cold (99% of the time ) I dont get any smoke, but if I stop the engine and start her up when she's warmed up, I get a large plume of smoke and she runs a bit lumpy, If I switch off and restart straight away the smoke appears to have gone.

Have read a couple of threads and I've got some glowplugs coming tomorrow, so am hoping that thats the cause of the lumpy running

Anyone got any other ideas BTW have checked the oil and its clean, no white in it to suggest its the cylinder head (hope not) and she's not overheating at all

Do you always wait til the glowplug light extinguishes even though itd hot Gozzy? If you don't that might cause the smoke in this cooler weather.
