blocked diesel pump

my freeda is unwell it doesnt rev over 3000 rpm changed the fuel filter as it was full of sediment what else do i need to look at ,ive been told it may have sediment in lift pump but never took one apart have put diesel cleaner in her but it will take time to clear any sugestion plz

Undo the banjo connector on the top of the fuel pump - there is a little mesh strainer in the bottom of the hole (I used a cotton bud to remove mine). These strainers are often blocked.
