I think the idea was going round in his head but maybe I encouraged him to the idea that people would be waiting to buy them if he did it. He was very good and sent me detailed instructions on how to fit a system, but I was certain I wanted to fit until an idiots guide existed, and corblimey got there first. I'm fine with te CB system, just carry jumpleads (under the bonnet - plenty of space - useful to have with me anyway) for bridging if/when I deeply discharge the LB, plus I've fitted a neat panel mounted voltmeter for monitoring voltage. I may get round to fitting a willinton kit one day but its not a priority.
BF member Shad dropped round on Saturday and asked me what the leisure battery was useful for. I said not much really as you can't do fridges, heating etc. off it. The single most important reason for having one I think is that whatever you do, you can do it safe in the knowledge that if you do run it flat, your car isnt going to be stuck in a field in the middle of nowhere. That alone is reason enough to fit one I think.
And I do use it really (DVD, electric shower, awning light etc.)
