Silicon hoses
Hi
Not that bad via Royal Mail Sign For Direct Priority....very efficient....3-5 days....but Aeons over the Chrissy period
Cheers
Helen
P.S. couriers are pretty good Europewide...cost a little more though...I often got high-tech bits sent Holland- England

In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.

You are quite right BigD, a full set is always best on a 10 year old vehicle. However, hoses do wear out at different rates depending on:bigdaddycain wrote:I'm quite suprised you stated the above SMsmartmonkey wrote:A few points spring to my mind:
They need to be a good bit cheaper than Mazda to persuade me to get a full set rather than the odd Mazda one as required.I'd have thought that you'd have known as well as any that if one hose has/is/going to let go, then the others can't be far behind...
Granted, different hoses have different stresses, but the pressure is uniform from one hose to the other is it not? (correct me if i'm wrong, i'm no mechanic)
Flippa? Does the kit include the bleed hose?
Contamination (they hate oil and diesel)
Clamp pressure
Operating pressure
Operating temperature
Size (big hoses seem to suffer more)
Mechanical wear
Luck of the mold/rubber batch
Amount of internal scaling
I think my hoses are in good order but I have saved two from chaffing through and one is possibly a touch firm for my liking. If a kit came along at a good price it may temp me to just change the whole lot and do a good coolant change and flush at the same time. I am blessed with a high mileage Bongo (90,000 miles) and because of this the cooling system seems to be very clean so I havent been tempted yet.
New hoses
Well done Flippa, are you going to give a breakdown of what consists of a full set, or is it a 'full set' where every pipe is included?
I would like to be put on the list of potential buyers please, I can confirm after you have calculated and published the cost of the set.

Hoses
Nice one Flippa, these two are a problemas far as pin holes are concerned.:-
You say "plus two i cannot identify using the schematic : so9g-61-213a heater hose, so9a-61212 water hose"
see http://www.lushprojects.com\bongoparts\pages\6125A Rear heating components.html
You will probably have to paste this into the address bar of your browser.

Heater hoses
OK Ian, but if you do paste the web address into your browser you will be able to see, and identify, the two hoses in question.
