A few points spring to my mind:

They need to be a good bit cheaper than Mazda to persuade me to get a full set rather than the odd Mazda one as required.

I'm quite suprised you stated the above SM I'd have thought that you'd have known as well as any that if one hose has/is/going to let go, then the others can't be far behind...

Granted, different hoses have different stresses, but the pressure is uniform from one hose to the other is it not? (correct me if i'm wrong, i'm no mechanic)

Flippa? Does the kit include the bleed hose?

You are quite right BigD, a full set is always best on a 10 year old vehicle. However, hoses do wear out at different rates depending on:
Contamination (they hate oil and diesel)
Clamp pressure
Operating pressure
Operating temperature
Size (big hoses seem to suffer more)
Mechanical wear
Luck of the mold/rubber batch
Amount of internal scaling

I think my hoses are in good order but I have saved two from chaffing through and one is possibly a touch firm for my liking. If a kit came along at a good price it may temp me to just change the whole lot and do a good coolant change and flush at the same time. I am blessed with a high mileage Bongo (90,000 miles) and because of this the cooling system seems to be very clean so I havent been tempted yet.

Well done Flippa, are you going to give a breakdown of what consists of a full set, or is it a 'full set' where every pipe is included?

I would like to be put on the list of potential buyers please, I can confirm after you have calculated and published the cost of the set.

hi sue the hoses in the set are ......15183 ( top, drivers side ,rad to steel pipe)
15184 (bottom rad hose ,passeger side)
15185 (therm to steel pipe)
15186 (top drivers side)
15277 (rad to header tank)
15261 (therm to head)
15381a(bleed pipe)

plus two i cannot identify using the schematic : so9g-61-213a heater hose
so9a-61212 water hose

pictures will help to easier i.d the hoses which i will add once i get them ...

price wise sue ...nearly there but not quite, all will be revealed in due course,
all i can guarantee is that it will be below the current price on offer for the rubber equivalent....i will also have speak to ian about a special price for the members....
