New to the Bongocean of topics but:
My 105Ah leisure battery in the Mazda cube went flat after a few weeks of very little driving. So I determined that the battery monitoring circuit draws 0.2-0.3Amps. This not being acceptable I have put a heavy duty switch between the battery and the outside world. Ideally this would be on the outside of the cube and momentary action. Anyway, by flicking this off momentarily the low battery sensor kick in and the red light on the front of the cube comes on. This now only draws a tiny current but still allows charging from the alternator. When its tea time, fridge or lighting up time you just need to press the red light for all to work perfectly.
Any thoughts you experienced techies? A Mazda kitchen thread would be useful. I know there are some good articals and translation but they are quirky.
Just back from first big trip Leamington Spa to Clermont Ferrand, walking the Puys then Geneva and Walking a few Alps to Dent D'Oche. Chilly when making dinner but super views over the snowy Mont Blanc. Zoomy Bongo - Geneva to Honfleur eight hours and me not even tired -amazing, easy driving.
