Strange turning over problem

Post by floydster » Thu Oct 25, 2007 6:54 pm

Help.

Sometimes when I turn the key in the ignition my engine turns over slowly a couple of times then stops like the battery's dead. I can then turn the key back then forward right away and it fires up like the batteries are fully charged.

I've checked that all the battery connections are tight and even replaced one of the terminals that was split a little but the problem persits.

For info, it's a 2.5TD with two batteries under the bonnet. I also have a split charging system with another battery inside.

Any ideas?
