Great tip jimmsmim but blimey, look at the price. I suspect its just a chemical for detecting carbon monoxide in solution or whatever, and a fancy glass pipette. There must be a chemist in BF who can tell us how to do this on the cheap. Anyone got a clue? 8)

Frost used to call themselves Frost Automotive Restoration Techniques, always headed as F.A.R.T. I see they have gone all grown up and dropped the title.

These 'sniffers' are a great idea and well worth the money for a garage but I don't see the DIYer getting much out of it. It's just too easy to spot a HG the old way.
