My driveshafts have been on and off like a tart's knickers but I've never seen my mechanic using a torque wrench.
Mark front of drive shaft and corresponding bit before removal so that it doesn't upset the balance.
Undo the four bolts/nuts holding it onto the rear of the front diff.
Undo the U bracket/bearing half way along.
The driveshaft should now simply wiggle out, bending in the middle.
Good luck

torgue setting . .
thanks for that guys ..quick response ,as usual

front drive shaft torgue setting ?
Hi people, fitted a new CV joint o/s yesterday . .its a remanufactured unit from AMK Automotive ;part no..TDL9593R..
fairly straight forward ,once I managed to separate the joint from the shaft..had to resort to making cuts into the central ball carrier with a cutting disc ..tight as the proverbial ducks ass . .
one thing to note for those of you attempting the job with this brand the new nut is 32 mm..the original is 36mm ,also they supply a distance piece ,which is wholly inadequate which takes up behind the nut and bares on the hub face . .I had to fabricate a thick washer approx 7mm the diameter of the hub nut washer to bare on the hub face . .chucked the other one ,it was no more than a thin ring 4.5mm thick .so that I could dimple the lock nut into the groove of the CV thread . .
incidently Moutaingoat . .the torgue settings of 37-53 newtons is wrong..perhaps a misreading?
Its actually 236-314 newtons [24-36kgf-m] quite a difference !
