Intermittent windows
Yesterday morning from the drivers side, the windows opened no problem but when i came to close them i had to inch them up a bit at a time as they kept stopping. Later on the passenger side works OK but the drivers still struggles, but not as bad as it was, could it be a temperature issue as it was cold when they wouldn't work but not frozen?

Check out the Search Facility Again using "Drivers and Window". There are quite a few posts about problems with the drivers window.
A few of them are.

I know it sounds daft but dont forget to clean the glass, mine did a similar thing, being slow and as I have lots of large sycamore trees on my drive the sticky stuff secreted by the aphids in the trees had a marked effect on the window performance and the rubber wipe strips, have to clean em off regularly in the summer. Happy motoring.
Thanks for the replies, took the switch out and separated the circuit board from the switches all terminals nice and clean but now have a spare spring and ball bearing that shot out from somewhere
so put the switch back windows still struggling so i cleaned the rubbers and put a bit of fairy on them and
work like a dream.
