could someone explain what a masons alarm is to a kiwi

Its a device which senses the real temperature of you engine and has an adjustable alarm setting to warn you if your engine gets too hot.

Check out all the links for more detail...seemslike a good piece of kit if you are worried about overheating.

And before you ask...no I havn't got one...I just keep an eye on things and stop when I blow a hose.
